Testimonials

David Berriman started playing piano at the age of 10, and by age 14 had formed a band with friends and began booking gigs at arcades, bowling alleys, "Battle of the Bands" shows, etc...   Today, David is a seasoned professional with more than a thousand successful engagements (and happy clients) under his belt.  He performs all over southeast Michigan for a variety of engagements including wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate and private events, restaurants, senior-living homes, and more. His style and repertoire are expansive, colorful and unique, borne of many experiences and musical influences including Bach, Beethoven, The Beatles, the Stones, Doors, Seger, Skynard, Doobie Brothers, Floyd Cramer, George Winston, Billy Joel, Elton John, and others.  David's fondness for rock and pop music, particularly from the '60s, '70s and '80s, as well as for the "standards" of the Swing era of Sinatra, shines through during his performances.

A '92 graduate of the University of Michigan, David has performed with many artists and musicians over the years including classic names such as Chuck Berry, the Drifters, the Coasters, the Shirelles and others.  He has also played and recorded with many local and regional artists.   David played the organ for the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings during the early 1990s, and bits of his recorded music can still be heard at Comerica Park and the JLA during the games.

In addition to performing as a soloist, David is a member of  Sunset Boulevard,  a high-energy, variety dance band which specializes in the highest-quality musical entertainment for weddings, corporate events and more.   See website for details, video, songlist, contact info. and more.

David is a member of the "Faith Band" at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Livonia.  Services are held on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am.

David has released two CDs, "Angels' Playground" and "Sunburst of Sound".  Both CDs feature a variety of original piano music as well as classic pieces such as Somewhere in Time, Last Date, Here Comes the Sun, The Wind Beneath My Wings, Variations on the Canon and others.  Both CDs have received airplay, including on Alan Almond's "Pillow Talk" radio program on WNIC, as well as TV with ABC's "Good Morning America" and PBS' "American Family" series.   David has also appeared on a number of CD releases by other artists as a session player, and has produced custom music for a variety of media projects.  Clients have included the Ford Motor Company, the United Auto Workers, Visteon Corporation, PBS,  Saraboo Productions, and others.

Today, in addition to being a busy performer, David is a busy family man and proud father of twin daughters, born in 2003.

"Angels' Playground" and "Sunburst of Sound" are available at  and     as well as other websites.
